Kathy Terry Kathy studied flute at The Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Maurice Sharp, Principal Flutist with The Cleveland Orchestra. As a member of the student orchestra there she performed under the baton of James Levine. Her other teachers were Walter Mayhall and Jack Wellbaum. She earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University and a Master's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. She has played with the Tyler Symphony and is Assistant Principal Flutist with the Tampa Bay Symphony. Kathy has also conducted choirs, accompanied soloists, and performed solo works in various congregations in Pinellas County, Florida, where she resides with her husband and three sons. She currently teaches flute at Anona Academy of the Arts, freelances, and is the substitute organist at Lake Seminole Presbyterian Church. |
