Melody was born and reared in the Republic of South Africa and now an elementary school teacher in the Hillsborough Count School System. She was an exceptional student at the Florida Community College and was on the Dean's List, received the Audrey Lee Church Award for outstanding achievement on the piano and is listed in the Who's Who among American College and University Students. Melody has also received the National Collegiate Education Award and in her spare time away from school, she thoroughly enjoys camping, sailing and biking.
