Dr. Ronald Bowers
English Horn, Oboe
Loreé Royale English Horn, Loreé Oboe

Originally from Chipley Florida, and now residing in Clearwater, Dr. Ronald Bowers began his music training on Clarinet at age 10 and later switching to Oboe in 1983. He joined Tampa Bay Symphony in 1998. His Oboe teacher is Martin Hebert and the last 7 years has attended the week-long master classes of John Mack (oboe), and Thomas Stacy (English Horn).

Dr. Bowers holds a diploma in engineering from Georgia Tech and degrees in medicine from the University of Virginia and also from Vanderbuilt University (Post Graduate Medicine). Currently he practices Critical Care Medicine, specializing in Pulmonology, at Largo Medical Center Hospital.

His hobbies include aviation , golf, reading, travel, and performing in a Woodwind Quintet.
