Substitute Conductor

A conductor became ill one evening and the band had to find a substitute
conductor. The only person available was the second trombone player. He conducted the concert and it was a success.

The regular conductor had recovered by the next night and was back on the job. As the trombone player took his seat back in the band, the first trombone player said to him, ''So, where were you last night?"
