Recorded selection must be the same one that is to be performed with the Orchestra, maximum length 15 minutes. It must have readily available orchestral accompaniment parts, and be memorized for audition. Enclose a recording, 15 minutes maximum, of any movement of a concerto (or other appropriate work for solo instrument and orchestra) that you would like to perform with the Tampa Bay Symphony. Recording should include you playing solo part, plus piano accompaniment. A simple recording on a home unit is sufficient; however, high quality tape or CD should be used as it affects the judges’ decision. Recordings are non-returnable. Tape/CD. Application, recording and $25.00 non-refundable application fee must be received by Oct 01, 2008 at the address below. Finalists will be notified by Nov 01, 2008 and perform at a public audition, to be held Nov 22, 2008. The winner will perform with the Orchestra at three concert in 2009.
