2008 Young Artist Competition Winner

The final audition has concluded and a winner have been selected. Three competition finalists performed before a panel of judges at the Music Gallery in Largo. This year, the competition was again close and after a late morning of auditions, Judges Dr. Jack Heller, Halina Bobrow, Kurt Klotz and Carol Skey awarded Sabrina Fernandez (Piano) winner of this years competition. Fernandez performed the first movement of Chopin's Piano Concerto in E minor at the Orchestra's Spring Concert series in April 2008 and received a $1000 cash prize and much multiple standing ovations from the audience.
