YAC Competition
Winner Selected Tampa Bay Symphony has evaluated applications for this season's Young Artist Competition. Instrumentalists, Vocalists and Pianists have submitted auditions for a chance to perform with the Orchestra and win a cash prize. The final audition has concluded and the 2010 winner was selected. Four competition finalists performed before a panel of judges at the Music Gallery in Largo. This year, the competition was again close and after an afternoon of auditions, Judges Dr. Jack Heller, Laurel Bennett, Kurt Klotz and Carol Skey awarded Jesse Christeson (Cello) winner of this year's competition. Christeson will perform the first movement of Dvorak's Cello Concerto in B Minor at the Orchestra's Spring Concert series in April 2010, and received a cash prize.
